I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I just love working with Sarah & Jay at Sustainable Fashion.. I really appreciate their trust in me - it pushes and challenges me creatively, it gives me confidence as a creative, and it’s always super fun working with them.. (They also self-cater the shoots, and they bring the bestest ever homemade organic tasty delights!)

Producing everything sustainably and locally in Australia (everything is even sewn in her home town Brisbane), is crucial to Sarah’s ethos and vision.. That’s how she rolls - always has and always will - and in 2021 that’s a huge challenge.. During our pre-production chat Sarah asked me to find a location to shoot this collection - not a “studio”, but an interesting space with loads of character that brings this collection to life.. A whole bunch of phone calls, emails, call outs over the socials, and chats with real estate agents, gave me a couple of options, but really I saw these as good backup plans, and I really felt THE space to shoot this collection was still out there… Then a classic interwebs deep rabbit-hole session led me to this space.. An empty Heritage Listed warehouse with imminent plans for restoration and site development.. The timing was right, and a window of opportunity opened… It was perfect!

Such an amazing day with all involved.. Check out Sustainable Fashion’s latest collection online at the Sustainable Fashion store..

Also, if you’re curious, Sarah’s written a ‘behind the scenes’ post on Sustainable Fashion’s online Journal.. Check it out here.. :)

BIGtime thanks as always to Sarah.. // our amazing model Stacy .. // hair & makeup by Alarna..
