Sustainable Victory..

Finding a label that sources and produces all of it’s collections - yes ALL of it’s product - locally here in Australia is pretty dang rare in 2020, but Sarah & Jay of Sustainable Fashion have for the last 15 years been doing just that..

I’ve been fortunate indeed to be photographing all of Sarah’s collections for the last 11 years.. It really is the perfect professional relationship - two creatives collaborating in a true sense of the word.. Sarah calls me even before she begins design work & we chat about her inspiration - where is this collection coming from in her brain space - what’s inspiring her for this.. And we walk through the potential visuals - where shall we shoot? what’s the feel you want? what are we communicating here? She runs through which model she’s planning to use, hair & makeup vibes she’s feeling.. and then on shoot day, we jam together and the magic flows.. It’s an amazing process to be part of.. I have so much respect for Sarah & Jay - I feel like part of their family on some ways - soooo many laughs & good times on set :)

So, here’s the latest shoot we did together last week.. Photographed 5mins from Sustainable Fashion HQ at The Gap, in Brisbane, not long after some controlled burning prepping for summer.. It was pretty amazing!
